Your Ceremony Fairy Godmother
Who The F!*k is She?
Tara is a celebrant with taste, timing, and a strong sense of what belongs in a ceremony.
She listens properly. She edits hard. She understands how words land when spoken aloud and how a room feels when something works or doesn’t. What stays in a ceremony earns its place.
Tara brings warmth, humour, and ease to the room, but she is also clear and decisive. She knows when to step in, when to step back, and when to let a moment breathe. Ceremonies move. Guests stay engaged. Nothing drags, and nothing feels forced.
Her work is shaped by years of performance, directing, and teaching speech and theatre. That experience shows in the details. Clean pacing. Clear language. No awkward pauses. No overlong readings. No celebrant hovering in the background of your kiss.
This is for couples who care about how the ceremony feels in the room. Who wants someone with judgment they trust, a steady presence, and the confidence to say no when something doesn’t serve the moment.
That’s who she is.
How Tara Went from Scripts to Vows
Tara’s grounding in performance and storytelling started early. At four years old, she stepped onto the Eisteddfod stage in Wagga Wagga and learned what it meant to connect with a room. By six, she was acting and touring in regional theatre productions across New South Wales, performing consistently throughout her schooling years, including performances at the Sydney Opera House.
In 2007, Tara travelled to Canada for Youth United Nations, where she spoke on women’s rights and global healthcare. That experience sharpened her ability to speak with clarity and conviction in high-stakes settings, and to hold serious subject matter with care and authority.
After moving to Queensland, Tara became a founding member of the Performing Arts Kollektive, the first theatre company at the University of the Sunshine Coast. She also became a member of the Sunshine Coast Theatre Alliance Committee and was a proud contributor to the Sunshine Coast Youth Theatre Committee.
She went on to write, direct, produce, and perform theatre across regional New South Wales, the Sunshine Coast, and Brisbane. Her work includes writing and directing award-winning productions, as well as stage managing large-scale theatre productions and musicals, including Wicked. These roles require precision, calm leadership, and the ability to manage complex moving parts under pressure.
Her scriptwriting and editing work later took her to Los Angeles, where she worked across production, script development, editing, and dialogue coaching. Alongside this professional work, Tara earned her FTCL with distinction from London, accrediting her to perform and teach speech and drama at the highest professional level.
For more than fifteen years, Tara taught speech and theatre, including eight years working in youth theatre across Queensland. She helped performers develop confidence, clarity, and authenticity in live performance and served as President of a Sunshine Coast theatre company, gaining firsthand experience in leadership, direction, and managing high-pressure moments.
Tara has also worked as a vocal leader for multiple corporate event days and as a private emcee and event host.
This background directly informs how Tara works as a celebrant. She understands how spoken language lands, how timing shapes emotion, and how to hold attention without overworking a moment. Every ceremony is written for the ear as much as the page, and delivered with control, presence, and judgement.
